YOUNG ADULTS @ ST STEPHENS
SPACE
SPACE is the name given for where Young Adults aged 18-30 can gather on Friday’s, 6PM till late but it also manages well for high school students, year 12s and University years.
It is weekly Friday space that operates out of the bar-style lounge café complete with its chesterfield sofa’s, subtle (and disco) lighting, music system and an ambience that invites a safe space for a good vibe and Friday night gathering.
It’s not Ibiza, but the space packs a good punch and engages a diverse range of activities grounded in our faith. We do everything from catching-up together, hanging-out, meeting new friends, studying the Bible via Alpha, praying for each other, generating a unique real-time weekly podcast evening, and hosting ‘Music On’ where eclectic music is key. Talking about life and faith and supporting one another, this group is a primary LifeGroup for young adults that is real, rich, gritty and relevant ...in a safe space.
We currently meet onsite weekly at St Stephens. If you'd like to know more or join the group please EMAIL US
SUNDAYS@5 (ALL AGES)
SERVICE ON THE SOFA
The 5pm Sunday Service has become iconic for its difference and diversity, principally because the sofa is the space for contemporary worship for people of all ages and suited most to young adults …but others too.
We also gather together for teas, coffee, wine, chocolate, before, during, and after the gathering. It is a discussion-based format that explores aspects of the Christian faith, challenges our understanding of theology, helps us share and grow …in a safe space.
The 5pm Service runs weekly onsite every Sunday and currently incorporates the prayer course and aspects of Alpha.
CAMPS AND RETREATS
Each year we host a retreat getaway camping trip, usually over a public holiday weekend. We get away, even on-site, enjoy each other's company, enjoy good food, rest, play and worship together.
